Thank you for your interest in donating time, money, or supplies to the Kansas City Hotel Initiative. Below is a breakdown of how you can help: 

Monetary Donations:

Monetary donations are accepted electronically through Venmo with the account @KCHotelInitiative. Checks may also be made payable to the Greater Kansas City Coalition to End Homelessness (GKCCEH), and sent to 3200 Wayne Ave #202 Kansas City, MO 64109 with the memo ‘KC Hotel Initiative Donation’.

Volunteering Time:

Volunteering your time is greatly needed at each of the twelve current hotels. Roles include serving meals, helping with food transports, providing emotional support to the residents, and much more. You can view a breakdown of each volunteer role as well as have the ability to input your availability, when you complete the Volunteer Application.

Volunteering Meals:

Meals are crucial to this success of this project and our friends enjoy a home-cooked meal almost more than anything else. Between the twelve locations, there are roughly 400 people who need meals daily. If you’re available to prepare a meal, visit this page to register between the different locations. You can find this page anytime at First, Feed the People. Once you register a meal, you will receive a confirmation email with the location of the hotel and pertinent serving information. All locations prefer meals are prepared individually upon arrival.
